WEFE Nexus Management Plans

Science-driven information, derived from the WEFE Nexus Modelling will be used to produce management plans that will jointly consider the interlinkages of the four WEFE elements, namely WEFE Nexus Management Plans. These plans will be co-developed in order address the NEL challenges. These Plans are conceptualized and developed following consolidated guidelines and procedures characterizing the water resource and risk management plans (i.e. plans based on e.g. EU Water Framework and Floods Directive). These Plans will provide a knowledge base and means for prioritizing actions for fair and sustainable use of water and land resources while meeting food and green energy generation needs. WEFE Nexus Management Plans will be supported by the data and scenarios related not only to the WEFE Nexus modelling (WP4), but it will also consider the trade-offs and effects related to the socio-environmental and economic benefits (WP5).
