On December 11-12, 2024, the Tunisian team organized a “Nexushare” training session aimed at introducing the NEXUSHARE platform and co-demonstrating the multiple benefits of the Nexus approach with the Tunisian NEL stakeholders.
The event targeted stakeholders from Tunisian’s southern provinces and was hosted at the Arid Land Institut (IRA).
During the training session, The Tunisian NEL team (IRA) highlighted key findings from the Nexus approach and focused on: (i) presenting the baseline study of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus in the Tunisian NEL, including a detailed description of the adopted methodology, the main challenges and the proposed solutions based on the bottom-to-up used approach; (ii) discussing the feasibility and relevance of the adopted approach and proposed alternatives through an open, multi-stakeholder dialogue; and (iii) introducing the NEXUSHARE platform, an open, multi-user platform designed for sharing information and engaging stakeholders on project activities and main outputs.
