Installation of the Weather Station – May 15th, 2024
On May 15th, 2024, a weather station was installed in the Wadi Naghamish region as part of the NEXUS-NESS project’s commitment to enhancing local climate monitoring and data collection. The weather station is equipped with advanced sensors capable of measuring key meteorological parameters, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, and precipitation. This real-time data is crucial for understanding local climatic patterns, which directly affect water availability, agricultural productivity, and ecosystem health.
The installation of the weather station represents a significant step forward in supporting evidence-based decision-making for sustainable resource management. Data collected from the station will be integrated into the project’s broader monitoring framework and shared with local stakeholders, including farmers, researchers, and policymakers. By providing accurate, up-to-date information on weather conditions, the station will enable better planning and management of agricultural activities, water resources, and environmental conservation efforts in the Wadi Naghamish area.
