At this workshop, held at the National Research Centre, the team presented an updated overview of the NEXUS-NESS project, emphasizing its progress and impact on sustainable resource management.

The workshop brought together leading experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, startupers, and policymakers under the same roof to share their insights, experiences, and knowledge on various topics related to water, energy, and food security.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Bahnassy and the Alexandria University team shared key insights into their project’s accomplishments, leveraging the workshop as a platform to highlight its notable outputs and results. Their presentation, titled “Mediterranean Citrus: Innovative Soft Processing Solutions for SMART (Sustainable, Mediterranean, Agronomically Evolved, Nutritionally Enriched, Traditional) Products,” showcased innovative approaches to enhancing the sustainability, quality, and nutritional value of citrus-based products in the Mediterranean region.
