Third WorkshopMarsa Matrouh – 25th November 2023 – Future of Wadi Naghamish

The Alexandria University (AU) team has been leading a broad series of workshops aimed at involving key stakeholders, encouraging the exchange of ideas, and strengthening local expertise within the framework of the NEXUS-NESS project. These workshops have served as a key platform for fostering a mutual understanding of sustainable resource management and promoting collaborative solutions among participants. With a strong emphasis on participatory techniques, the sessions were designed to empower stakeholders, improve decision-making processes, and support long-term strategic development tailored to the unique conditions of the Wadi Naghamish region. The highly interactive format of these workshops ensured active stakeholder engagement, which is essential for the successful implementation of integrated management approaches in the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus.

The third workshop focused on shaping a vision for the future of Wadi Naghamish. During the event, stakeholders actively participated in discussions aimed at formulating sustainable development plans, addressing key regional challenges, and identifying potential opportunities for long-term growth. This collaborative effort was crucial in aligning local priorities with broader project goals.
