NEXUS-NESS is producing an advanced version of the QGIS based FREEWAT plugin
Within the NEXUS NESS PRIMA project prima-nexus-ness.org/ at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna we are developing the free & open source FREEWAT_Q3 software for water resources management.
FREEWAT is a free and open source, QGIS integrated interface for planning and management of water resources, with specific reference to groundwater. The FREEWAT platform couples the power of GIS geo-processing and post-processing tools in spatial data analysis with that of process-based simulation models. The FREEWAT environment allows storage of large spatial datasets, data management and visualization, and running of several distributed modelling codes (mainly belonging to the USGS MODFLOW family).
This version works from QGIS 3.30 version.
So far, it includes the following codes: MODFLOW-2005, MODPATH, MT3D-USGS, SEAWAT.
It will also include tools for conjunctive use of surface and groundwater (MF-OWHM v.2.0) and NEXUS analyses capabilities (the NEXUS TOOLBOX).
We are looking for testers!
We will share the code and exercises to be run. If interested in taking part in the testing phase please write to: rudy.rossetto@santannapisa.it
