From July 4th to July 6th 2022, the Nexus Ness Consortium partners met for the 2nd General Assembly, discussing on project workplan and updates. Stakeholders’ engagement, scenarios building, and technological solution have been main topics addressed in the Assembly.
The meeting was held at the venue of Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieria Agronomica, Alimantaria y Biosistemas within the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid campus.

This event – both in-presence and online mode – was attended by all partners in from all countries involved. Three days of work with two days in the conference hall and one site visit at the Nava de Arevalo irrigation district within Duero River Basin region (about 120 km of Madrid city centre). Site visit has taken place to Castro de las Cogotas, a fundamental dam that provide water to local farmers and energy supplier and feed rural economies in the Duero Region. Then, the field trip was ended in the vineyard roads of Ribera del Duero, experiencing an empirical application of the WEFE Nexus approach in Spain.
