On June 1st, 2022 the coordinator prof. Fernando Nardi (WARREDOC-University for Foreigners of Perugia) introduced the NEXUS-NESS project at the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) Conference, held in Montpellier (France). The aim of this important event was to provide an opportunity to communicate, exchange and project on all major topics in the hydrological sciences within the framework of sessions organized by all IAHS Commissions and Working Groups. The 2022 IAHS Conference edition addressed the topic of hydrology and society exchange. In this context, NEXUS-NESS project was presented as solutions for sustainable water management in agricultural areas, co-designed and co-tested with relevant stakeholders in the four river basins areas spread across Euro-Mediterranean area through Living Lab and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The speech of prof. Nardi was especially focused on interlinkages of WEFE Nexus components for safe and sustainable management of urban, agricultural, and natural ecosystems.
