The Nexus-Ness Project Kickoff Meeting was held online on June 29th, 2021, during the COVID pandemic, with all project partners and the PRIMA officers Ali Rhouma and Pau Güell Torrent. The Nexus-Ness Coordinator prof. Fernando Nardi, introduced the NEXUS-NESS project and consortium and all partners presented on major project components: the WEFE Nexus Transition through Innovation Ecosystem Approach by XPRO Consulting Limited (XPRO, Cyprus) Xenia Schneider, the Nexus Ecosystem Labs for Nexus Ness Service operationalization and the Italy Living Lab by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA, Italy), Rudy Rossetto, Nexus Ness Service deployment and WEFE Nexus management plans by Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) Maria Cristina Rulli, the WEFE Nexus Socio- Environmental and Economic integrated assessment by Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) Filippo Tessari and Davide Bazzana and the NEXUS-NESS Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation by Design & Data GmbH (DDATA) Sebastian D. Marcu André Knüfing and team members.
The four Nexus Ecosystem Labs (NELs) were presented with Rudy Rossetto from SSSA for the Italian NEL, Universitat Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) Leonor Rodriguez Sinobas for the Spain NEL, Alexandria University (AU) Mohamed Bahnassy for the Egypt NEL and Institut Régions Arides de Médenine (IRA) & Comm. Rég. au Dév. Agricole Gabès (CRDA) Mohamed Ouessar and Fethi Abdelli for the Tunisia NEL.
